This is an abstract piece featuring a dancing holographic rose. The rose goes through some transformations and dies, shattered. Ultimately, a new shape is reborn from the fragments.
Animation and music were created together for this project, which stemmed from a brief session of toying with animated torus knots one weekend. Hologram Rose is the first project I've completed where I created music timed to 3D animation; I found it useful to produce music in Acid at 120BPM while keeping most animation keys to 15 and 30 frame intervals, that way it is easy to sync the sound cues with the animation.
