This project was designed to model the home office room in which it was created. Radiosity lighting from a single light source provided nearly all of the illumination for the scene, and it was an interesting challenge to try and match reality, in which the main lamp of the room really does light up the entire area.
Primarily this animation served as a proof of concept, demonstrating the visualization of a space using realistic modeling and lighting. In this case the space is real yet the techniques apply just as readily to a virtual space. The idea is that if the space has not yet been built or needs to be modified, it can be done and the changes "previewed" before any costly or irrevocable physical changes are made.
