Zombie Girl\'s Graveyard Grooves

My latest aural crush is Zombie Girl, a surprisingly lively and grooving techno/EBM act considering it’s fronted by a dead girl.

I’ll make my quick case for why you should check them out, then make your own decision. My verdict? Worth plunking down some bucks to order the album: Blood, Brains, & Rock ‘n Roll - I did, after about a week of listening.

I found Zombie Girl on Last.fm, listening to some Rob Zombie-like tracks, and when Go Zombie! slid in I suddenly forgot what I was doing, able to focus on nothing but the music.

Caught by the hook-heavy vocals and beats, one might think they’re over the top. Of course they are, the band is called Zombie Girl after all. That’s why I can get into it- no pretense of being taken seriously, just flat-out electronic music from the living dead.

If you like techno anthems and very danceable industrial, with a little undead humor, then check out the tunes of a band that’s not afraid to revel in being over the top. Isn’t that what zombie movies are all about, after all?
